Hi Adwords Team,

I have a question @KathleenG and @CassieH: how does Google prioritizes multiple bid adjustments?

If I have my default bid set to 1$ and the adjustments below:

- Saturday: +20%

- Mobile: -50%

- Region (New York): +25%

In what order or priority are they applied?

Each level have it's own weight on the adjustment like: cities first, then device and then day of the week and if does, can you tell us what's the full length and weight, or it doesn't have a weight, but just an order like: we apply all positive adjustment first and then subtract the negative ones?

Looking forward for this answer.

Hi Roberto,

Order or priority in which they are applied doesn't change the result.

+20% is the same as multiplying by 1.2

-50% becomes 0.5

+25% becomes 1.25

Multiplication is commutative meaning that the order of the factors has no impact on the result:

so $1 x 1.2 x 0.5 x 1.25

or $1 x 1.25 x 1.2 x 0.5

yields both $0.75

What about portfolio bid strategies? Can I have multiple target outranking share bid strategies (i.e. targeting a.com plus another strategy targeting b.com running simultaneously within the same campaign), and target search page location bid strategies going for the same account and campaigns all at the same time?
