All About Ads!
Business owners take pride in their storefront. Its the first thing that a customer sees when they come to your place of business! You want it to be clean, and pretty and appealing to the eye! So, why think any differently about your AdWords Ads? Your ad is the first thing that a potential customer sees, when searching for the products or services you are offering.
Next, it's important to understand the different components that make up an ad, and the limitations that there are for each section:
As seen below there are three parts to a basic text ad: a Headline (25 characters), Display URL (35 characters) and two description lines (35 characters each). Want more information on the make up of a text ad, and using double width languages, or special characters, check out our Help Center here.
And finally, there are a few things to consider when creating new ads:
- Highlight what makes you unique - do you offer free shipping or next day delivery? Make sure people know that!
- Use a ‘Call to Action’ such as “Order today” or “Call now for a free quote”.
- Experiment and have variations. Why have one ad, when you can have three? You'll never know how your customers will react to your ad copy until you test out different ones!
