“The AdWords Community is the one good platform to learn AdWords and AdWords campaigns optimization tips from the Adwords Experts.” - Rakesh, AdWords Community Rising Star.

-Continue below for the full interview….

Q: Tell us about your career choice and how you ended up using AdWords with your Business.

A: I started working at a tech-support organization in 2010 after completing my MBA. It was there that I got introduced to the world of AdWords. I learnt AdWords the hard way at iYogi Technical Services Ltd. Once I had learnt and managed a few campaigns there I thought it was time to broaden my horizon. I joined HT Media in the online marketing team as a SEM Specialist. It has been two years I’ve been running in this organization. I am now leading a team of SEM Experts.

Q: Tell us about your best AdWords experience?

A: Working with AdWords platform is always a good experience for us. Being an AdWords professional, we keep busy learning new tools and features of AdWords. Thanks to the AdWords Research and Development team, who are always adding new features in UI, we are never bored with our job! I think this is the best experience with AdWords.

Q: What's one lesson or tip you want to share with your fellow Adwords Community members?

A: The AdWords Community is the one good platform to learn AdWords and AdWords campaigns optimization tips from the Adwords experts. AdWords success always depends on "testing and testing". Thus keep testing with Adcopy, keywords or bids to receive better results from campaign. Plus feel free to post your best AdWords experience on community so that other users will get the benefits.

Q. What do you enjoy most about the Community?

A: I feel happy while replying to threads and participating in the Community events. The Community is one of the best places to learn the latest AdWords updates. It allows us to resolve users query with their real account problems. I could not forget to mention supports given by Community Managers, Top Contributors and Rising stars. Community teaches us to work as team and Community members are like AdWords family.

Q: What is your most recent contribution to the Community which you would like to highlight?

A: As you know, the Community is a good platform for everyone to explore more knowledge of AdWords. At the same time it gives opportunity for us to interact with experts. I always try to contribute and participate in every community event. Recently, I have added articles that i want to highlight here, “Top AdWords Updates of Year2013” and “Determine Bid Strategy Based on Your Conversion”.

And also there are other Community Events that i would not miss like the Community Quizzical Pursuit and AdWords Beginners' Guidefrom the Community. As these events covers different types of AdWord questions, they are often useful for AdWords beginners’.

Q: Where would you like to see the Adwords Community go in the future?

A:  It is the place where users get combined mixture of different types of marketing cases, AdWords study materials and Community events. These are all the best AdWords learning source for any AdWords professional. More and more people will join the Adwords Community. With increasing community users, questions and content on Community, one of the AdWords Community link would appear with the top ten positions in Search Engine Result Page. I hope it will offer others to "learn AdWords with fun".

Q: Let’s do a hypothetical question: Say the Google AdWords design team approached you asking you what is the one feature you would like to add to AdWords. What would it be?

A: If I were asked by the Google AdWords design team,  I would like to suggest adding a new tool that would give Search Terms/Placements report at Ad Copy level. This would give better insight of the search terms with respect to each Ad Copy.

Q: Lastly to end our interview on a Googley note, tell us something cool about you? Or something you’ve experienced?

A: I am passionate of trekking. That gives me the opportunity to indulge myself with the natural beauty and adventure.

Whoop! Go Rakesh!
Interesting interview. I had no idea you worked with iYogi. I bet that seems like a lifetime ago and probably something you're finding quite interesting with the latest shakeup.

The AdWords feature on your wishlist... what an AWESOME idea! I have a feeling that might be a reality in our lifetime.

Keep up the great work!

Congrats, Rakesh!

As for the feature you want, and Dave is excited about, I might be able to help Smiley Happy.

Hint: download a search term report and make sure to include the keyword as well (and its match type). Add the "ad id" segment Smiley Happy.

Then download an ad report, including the ad id, again.

Now combine the two reports by linking search term, keyword, match type with the ad that was served, through its id.

Ta daaaa Smiley Happy.
