We all know that we can now create custom columns. In addition to specifying custom segmentations for your metrics, you can apply formulas for those metrics. But how exactly can we best utilize this feature? Perhaps the hottest focus now is on mobile and with custom columns, it is now possible to easily see mobile performance and report back to our clients.
For example, you can track mobile share of clicks by setting a formula that divides mobile clicks by total clicks to easily see the percentage of your mobile clicks. Similarly, to see mobile conversions, you can set a column that selects the conversion metric and then mobile segment. Save these columns for ease of reporting for the next time you are logging into AdWords! Be creative with your combinations as chances are, there is probably a way to see what you are looking for.
