I have claimed and verified our listing for our company, A-1 Sewer and Drain, but an unclaimed business listing is showing before us in the local listings. Does anyone have any idea as to why?

Hi Mike,

There are over 200 ranking factors. Unverified pages outrank verified pages all the time. The act of verification on it's own, does not give a page a higher ranking.

Check out some of the ranking tips in this help center doc from Google - https://support.google.com/business/answer/7091?hl=en

Let me know if you have more questions after reading through that. Happy to help!
