Merge Business Listing

Hi @JoyHawkins, I saw you helping other users in other threads, so I figured I would start my own and tag you in it for some help!

Currently, I have 2 business listings on 'My Business' and I only have/need one official one. I need the other unofficial listing merged into my official listing.

Also, recently, my official listing "That Broadway Smile" which has all of my business' reviews, photos and Google virtual tour has been removed from the map listings completely for all of the keyword searches I was currently ranking top 3 in on the map... I'm not sure what happened... All I know is that my listing is gone from the map... and for some keyword searches that it still does actually exist on, it shows my inactive page "Mary Ellen Nesnay DMD" instead of "That Broadway Smile" and makes like "That Broadway Smile" was erased from the face of the Earth...

And another thing... We were #1 featured spot on the map when you would search "pediatric dentist long island" for years.. Same with "pediatric dentist nassau county".... and recently, Google removed my business from the map entirely. You cannot find "That Broadway Smile" or "Mary Ellen Nesnay DMD" anywhere on the map now... This makes no sense to me... Our website results are still the same in the organic search results, but our map listings have been completely removed as if we no longer exist.... I have no idea what happened...

Official Listing - That Broadway Smile -https://www.google.com/maps/place/That+Broadway+Smile/@40.694051,-73.464427,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:...

-- Page that need to be merged --

1) Dr. Mary Ellen Nesnay DMD -

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mary+Ellen+Nesnay+DMD/@40.69418,-73.464364,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0...

Please let me know if you can help and if there's anything I should do on my end to start the process.

Thanks so much!

Hey Mary Ellen,

Welcome to the forum! You actually have more listings than just the 2 you referenced and I was looking to see what possible issues might be happening. The unfortunate answer is no, Google won't remove the listing for yourself because you are a multi-practitioner office and each dentist in your office is allowed his/her own listing. If you really don't want your listing showing, you could try linking the listing to your "About Your Dentist" page on your site. Your site is currently built with Flash so it doesn't change the URL in your browser when you visit the different inner pages so I wasn't able to grab it (Note: this is not generally a good SEO practice).

I don't think this is related but noticed a listing with several major changes pending for a dentist that isn't on your website: http://www.google.com/mapmaker?gw=39&fid=0x89e9d56211c2c179:0xc299f75687d476aa

I would suggest you call Google My Business support and tell them to get rid of this page: www.google.com/mapmaker?gw=39&fid=0x89e9d554fa0e0169:0x345b42b7a9ee2057 as it's a duplicate since both you and Paul already have listings and this one is just a mix-up of your names.

Have you checked inside Search Console to see if there are any warnings or messages that might have impacted your ranking? I noticed some odd pages on your site that are all identical except they swap out the name of the city: http://www.thatbroadwaysmile.com/towns/massapequapark.html vs http://www.thatbroadwaysmile.com/towns/merrick.html. This is a practice many people used to utilize years ago to help ranking but it's definitely frowned upon since the pages were created just for ranking purposes.

Also your backlinks are a little concerning. I'd be worried since some of them are really new and they definitely violate Google's guidelines. Ex: http://adamchase.hatenablog.com/entry/2015/11/30/183537 was created 11/30/2015. If you start reading it, you'll realize it has keywords stuffed in it and it doesn't make sense if you read it in proper English.

Here are a couple more really questionable ones:
