Hi I'm new here and have issues with my local listing since we moved premisses several years ago. We have not long started to show again but was wondering if theres any advice to improve our ranking further?

We clean carpet and upholstery

Company name : Brenton Carpet Care
New Address: 9 Bampton Court, Gamston, Nottingham. NG2 6PL
Phone 0115 9 193 836 & 0800 193 0115

Our website on Google places

Old Address: 17 Cedarland Crescent, Nuthall, Nottingham. NG16 1AG

Also how can we get review stars to show in our organic website search results? we have over 300 positive reviews with 99% 5 stars and a 4 or 3 star maybe somewhere.

Also the map marker on the listing is showing our old address but the listing written address is all correct

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Rob T

Your address is fine, its just the PIN marker.

Please login to your business account and correct the PIN marker location.

A couple of issues I have:

Why 2 sites ?

You are diluting your work in half and creating more work by maintaining 2.

Also from a Google Local Business perspective, which one should Google think is the correct business ?

Both sites have same contact details:

You have embedded the incorrect map and why did you add the address to mapmaker ?

This would be the correct embed

<iframe src="!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d1200.9152177635117!2d-1.21384991107094!3d52.98745106674527!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x4879ea7ac02b8ad7%3A0xca5985f7ea023741!2sBrenton+Carpet+Cleaners+Nottingham!5e0!3m2!1sen!2suk!4v1457548300166" width="600" height="450" frameborder="0" style="border:0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

If you want review stars to appear in organic results you need to use rich snippets

And whilst you are working on structured data, I would also recommend marking up the site with schema and use carpet cleaning as a schema service

More on local best practice :

I think that covers the basics.

thank you for your reply Tim, the buisness was my dads for 22 years and i have had it just over 3 years now. was the only site my dad had until it got hacked and penalised/sandboxed as the seo company dealing with it took about 3 weeks to fix it. My dad then had another site built and is doing very well in the organic search, since i have taken over i have paid somebody to try and gain googles trust again with the site that got hacked. Now we have two sites that are doing really well and didnt think it would be a good idea to delete one of them, would it???

All the other advice you have given to me is great and very much appreciated :) i will pass this on to my seo lady.

Many many thanks
