GMB Listing Updates

We're an agency that manages about 160 listings for various clients. We're familiar with the updates made by Google and correct them often. We have one client that is constantly updating. When the update is flagged for review the live listing has that data missing from the search results.

Is there any way to find out why this one listing is always being updated with incorrect info by Google?

The piece that changes most frequently is the website URL. There is an old domain that they previously used and Google updates the GMB with it.

Old URL:http://airconditionrepairfairfax.com/

Company: Brennan's Heating & Air Conditioning

Address: 2608 Morse Ln, Woodbridge, VA 22192
Hours: Open 24 hours

I've attached a photo of the most recent changes. Is there any way to block this from happening?

Yes, they are. Thank you.

I'm looking for info on where Google is pulling the outdated info from and how to prevent it from happening

You've made a good start with setting up your local schema - its not validating however.  Make sure you validate it in https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/ and monitor it via Search Console for errors.

When I check your history in https://mapmaker.google.com/mapmaker it shows modifications by "Google" reflecting the changes you are seeing.  This is actually indicative of someone making a manual change via the "Suggest an edit" tool in search or maps.

Rather than leave http://www.airconditionrepairfairfax.com/ as a "dead" domain, claim it in Google Search Console, do a "Change of Address" within Search Console to your new domain, then redirect it in DNS.  That should prevent the URL issue from happening in the future.

@Local Team

At least one user made an edit in Sept this year its this guy:

https://mapmaker.google.com/mapmaker?uid=204618404832511727290&gw=66&hl=en

and you can see it in the hsitory of MapMaker:

Other ediits are indicated as made by "Google"  but this would mean any Local Guides or user did this through GMaps.

Thanks! That user has edits all over the country. It's strange that they would be pulling that old info in?

These updates are happening more frequently to all of the listings I manage. Why is relevant information being removed or replaced with bad information. Here is one I found this morning. No hours of operation were listed on any of this clients pages (They're a chain)/ I checked the edits in Map Maker and they were deleted by someone. Any ideas on how to prevent this? I manage 160 listings so it's not easy to QC and update these edits every day.
