Ethics on Photos of Children

Hello! I'm working on editing my business page, and want to make sure I'm handling photos ethically. We want to promote the fact that we welcome all ages (including younger kids), but I also don't really know the rules around posting pictures of kids on Google. We took a couple pictures showing kids playing card games in our store, but should we focus on pictures where you can't see their faces, or ask their parents for permission first? I know it's a fine line, and we want to make sure we don't make people feel uncomfortable.

Hi,

You should have the parents sign an authorization form giving you permission if the faces are seen. If they are general photos that show the backs of heads or with no way of identifying the children, then you would not need the authorization form but could still obtain it for peace of mind.

Kind Regards,

James
