Deleted Listing Wont Go Away After Google's Advice

The Long Story Short:

We had two listings for the same business, both were verified with us, and we had access to them. One of them (the main google search result) was outdated so we deleted it. This search result won't go away. We called and talked with google, got advice from them, and followed it to the T. Search results haven't changed after 2-3 weeks or so. Ghost listing/Phantom listing is still top search result.

- First listing (and first search result/deleted listing) old business name: Odette Chiropractic and Decompression Center

( We don't offer Decompression services anymore so we decided to delete this listing)

- Second listing (we want to be the primary one): Odette Chiropractic Family Health Center

What we've done:

-We've submitted "business closed"(Did not go over well with boss since it's the first search result)

-Deleted Duplicate Listing (Odette Chiropractic and Decompression)

-We've submitted feedback (3-4 times through different avenues in google)

-Called and talked with google twice, and followed their advice they gave (One was to submit feedback as listed above)

-Followed google's advice by having customer's review (went from 10 reviews to 44 reviews)

-Followed google's advice by having customer's/friends/family Google "Odette Chiropractic Family Health Center" and other variations of this (Boss has lots of friends/family so "Over 700 people searched for this" in different locations in the metro area)

-Followed Google's advice by adding photos and being active on our "real" listing.

1-2 weeks later:

Phantom/Ghost/Deleted listing is still top search result

The other problem:

-Clients won't be googling "Odette Chiropractic Family Health Center" most likely will be "Odette Chiropractic" which leads to the incorrect listing.

We've hit a brick wall in terms of what we can do and need advice. Like I've said we've submitted feedback through many avenues on Google in the first half of the month, but to no avail. Short of submitting a legal feedback/inquiry we're unsure how to proceed.

even a shorter answer from me:

What ever and who ever advised you to delete the "Odette Chiropractic & Decompression Center"in order to get rid of it was thouroughly mistaken.

Even if it was a Googler - his advise was wrong.

(s)he ignored what their own HC tells you and us:

"You can remove a location from your account if you don't want to manage it anymore. You’ll no longer manage the location, but it will still appear on Google"

But I meanwhile solved the issue regarding the bloody "Odette Chiropractic & Decompression Center" - removing it as a duplicate of the "Odette Chiropractic Family Health Center"

Hope this helps you
