Hi. Client site is for singing telegrams in a big city; a competitor's full name is 'singing telegrams city'. In the past, my client and lots of others would show up in map SERPs, but recently it seems only the KW-matching business is showing up (2-4 near-matches to KW vs. pages full of viable results).

My client and others are now hard to find without using branded terms. Did the algo change in this regard?

And without providing details about your site and competitors, it's impossible to fully appreciate why these issues arise. It's all hypothesizing with no data.
