I recently received some analytics on How People are Finding You from Google.

Can anyone explain what the difference is between

"viewed your business"

and

"visited your website"?

A visit is when someone is in your physical store (tracked by mobile phone location). A view is when someone checks out your biz online.

[Update] I realized I was answering a different question than what you asked. Please see clarification below.

Thank you for the response. I find this data then to be in error. We are
a nationwide recruiting firm and do most all of our work remotely. In my
three years running the company I can count on one hand how many clients we
have had in our actual office.
Am I to assume that this data is then useless?

I totally misread your post! My explanation was incorrect!
Viewed your business - can be seeing your biz info online (the Google stuff Google serves up) versus [from the stuff Google served up] clicking through to your website (viewed your website).  Here is more info from the Google folks: https://support.google.com/business/answer/7069123?hl=en&#how
