Why do duplicated pages share data sources, even if different sources set for each page?

After duplicating and renaming a page, I simply went to the renamed version, went to page settings, and changed data sources.

This also changed the data in the original page.

After setting the original page's data source the what it was originally, the duplicated page is now showing this same data source.

I can´t change data source for one page without also changing the data source in the duplicated page, and vice versa. Is this intended, or just a bug?

This is because you aren't 'editing' the datasource on your second page, your CHANGING the underlying datasource for the entire report.

This is because Data Studio is very non intuitive in certain areas of the interface.  My assumption is you are clicking on the "pencil icon" next to the datasource name.  Instead click on the actual name of the datasource and then choose your new datasource.

This will change the datasource ONLY for that given chart.
