Hi,

I am learning Google Data studio by creating a small company sales report.

I have a company actual sales vs. planned sales KPI on report .

I want to show the variance between actual sales and planned sales somewhat like below :

-----------------------------

Sales vs Plan

10K

*up arrow symbol* 5%

-----------------------------

Can anybody please help me achieve this using scorecard object or any other ?

I think you just need to create a custom metric with formula: Planned Sales - Actual Sales. Then you can just use that new metric in a score card or in other charts. You might also want to change the number type to currency.

Hi,

Sure I can use the formula but up arrow or down arrow indicator which shows how my sales performed with respect to plan is what I am really interested in .

Currently the indicators are only available for like for like time i.e. monthly and yearly LFL comparisons.
