Using Google Analytics for research

back in 2011-2012, I could use Google Analytics to find out almost any website's MAU, DAU, etc. This has been very helpful to track traffics of various webistes. 

 

However, somewhere in 2013, Google Analytics website was changed and it seems that I could only track my own website's data. Did I use it wrong? How can i go to back the Google Analytics of old days? Please help. Thank you.
