URGENT BUG: Data Source BigQuery Connection Broken

Hello,

This problem started happening today. I have isolated this issue to specific BigQuery views.

All of the BigQuery GA tables do not allow me to connect (details below) and some non-GA BigQuery tables do not allow me to connect.

Taken steps:

1. Click pencil icon next to data source to bring up data source panel

2. Click "Edit Connection"

3. Navigate to BigQuery > My Projects > Client's project > Client's dataset > Client's table

4. Click on table name. Nothing happens

5. "Connect" button stays gray

Other methods that output to same issues as #3-5 above:

1. Homepage of Data Studio

2. Click on "Data Source" on left nav

3. Click "+" sign to create new data source

OR

1. Click "Use Template" from a report with a /preview appended to URL

2. Click "Create new data source" from drop down when asked to select data source

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi and thanks for reporting this problem. I'm told that a fix was made at around 10:30PM California time last night. Can you please let us know if there are still problems here? Apologies for delay in communication here. Thanks!

I just confirmed that I am also experiencing this with multiple of my BigQuery sources (all of my GA BigQuery tables, and some of my non-GA BigQuery tables as well).

Maybe its back, I'm getting an internal server error on BigQuery connection to views... ( tables too ).

Hi Tanya,

Do you mind sharing with me how the issue was fixed? I'm having the same issue atm.

Thanks

@Robin J: the Data Studio team resolved that issue, so no users had to do anything.

What is the behavior you are experiencing?

@Alon

After selecting the BigQuery table in New Datasource screen and hit the Blue Connect button at the top right conner, I received the following error:

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.

Dismiss

This happened to all of my BigQuery tables. Both my DataStudio and BigQuery are under the same gmail account btw.

I solved this by re-connecting my google account to Data Studio service.

Go Here: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions?pli=1

Disconnect "Data Studio".  Then go back to Data Studio, click data sources, click BigQuery, and re-authenticate.

Hi, if I disconnect Data studio, will I have to recreate the reports?
