Table Chart - Sorting Issue

I keep running into the same issue with table charts and the sorting options. I have a table chart to show the following information (similar to the loyalty report);

- Count of Sessions

- Users

- Sessions

- Avg. Session Duration

- Screens / Sessions

- Goal Conversion Rate

In Analytics itself you would see the count of sessions or session instances as an ascending list

However within Data Studio it will show up as this (when you use sort by count of sessions ascending)

Even with a custom dimension using the CASE formula to sort the numbers in a similar way to the report inside Analytics it will still not sort in the right way (see screenshot below)

Is your "count of sessions" metric set as a metric or a dimension? If it's set as a dimension (or not set as a number if a metric), then that would likely make it categorize like this.

Hi Litmon,

Thanks for the response. This was indeed the problem I discovered, as my count of sessions is a dimension which was set to "text". Once I switched it over to "number" the issue was solved! Smiley Happy
