Should I be using SQL?

I'm currently using a Google Sheets data source with around 20k+ rows of Twitter data for the past 12 months.

As a result Data Studio is running slowly; it's tolerable but not ideal.

I could do some of the calculation manually (such as aggregate monthly engagement) and enter this into a Sheet, the ability to analyse the entire dataset is really beneficial.

Would using an SQL database speed up this process, and how would I go about doing this?

Thanks

Jack

Hi Jack,

Yes, in theory it would, depending on the hosting of your database. However, it might be worth checking if you upload your data to DataStudio and run it locally, if this speeds things up first?

Hope that helps,

Ben
