Page Navigation Summary in data studio?

Hi everyone,

I searched this and could not find an answer.

Is it possible to represent the standard google Analytics page navigation summary in data studio? I tried creating a table and using the previous page path/page/next page path dimensions but it doesn't work.

Should I be using something other than a table?

Thanks for your help,

Ash

Hello Ash,

I was able to figure this out for reporting on the paths to/from one specific page.

To get the Previous Page Path for a specific page

  1. Create a table
  2. Data Source: (Your source)
  3. Dimension: Previous Page Path
  4. Metric: Pageviews
  5. Table Filter: Create a filter by the specific page
    e.g. Include > Page > Contains > [your text]

To get the Next Page Path for a specific page

  1. Create a table
  2. Data Source: (Your source)
  3. Dimension: Page
  4. Metric: Pageviews
  5. Table Filter: Create a filter with the specific page as the previous page path
e.g. Include > Previous Page Path > Contains > [your text]

Hope this helps!

The method that Arienne mentioned is how I go about this as well.

The "next page path" dimension has been deprecated by Google, so just consider that one not usable anymore.
