This week, we've launched the following features:

  • Add your Google Analytics tracking ID in the report settings panel to track traffic to your reports.
  • You can now export data from your charts to CSV.
  • The MySQL connector now supports secure connections via SSL.
  • The new secondary sort option in area charts, bar charts, and time series lets you sort on the breakdown dimensions in those charts.

Thanks for your interest in Data Studio!

Oops! I left something off the list:

    • Combo charts let you plot any kind of data using lines, bars, or both.

Sorry about that, Chief! Smiley Happy

Rick, thanks for the amazing idea of the csv export!

I think it would be better to have a possibility to prevent csv export for selected users (like prevent downloading in spreadsheets). It is very important if somebody wants just to share charts, but do not want to share data.

I agree with Victor - it would be good if 'stop viewers from copy/downloading' option would lock 'view' access from being able to download what they see.

Great suggestion, thanks!

We actually already were planning that, it just didn't make the initial cut. We should have this ability soon. I'll post it in the release notes when it's available.

Best,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Pardon my ignorance, but where will the report tracking show in GA?

Darren I was stopping by and saw your question... data gets included into the property you add to datastudio and source/medium is 'accounts.google.com / referral'. You can also check 'content drilldown' data or create views/segments/remarketing lists based on reporting ID.
