LAT/LONG Ged Locations not working in Data Studio

Trying to visualise data with geo mapping and Data Studio keeps spitting up their error
You are setting Latitude,Longitude as a Latitude, Longitude, but we couldn't recognize its format.
The format I am using is -31.9505269,115.8604572

Anyone able to help me out on this? I have been struggling to find an answer to my solution and this is my last resort

What format should I be using?

Hi Mel,

Write BigQuery sample SQL.

I think the placement of latitude and longitude is opposite.

SELECT pickup_datetime ,
passenger_count ,
pickup_longitude ,
pickup_latitude ,
concat(string(pickup_latitude) ,',',string(pickup_longitude ) ) as lat_lon,
total_amount
FROM [bigquery-public-data:new_york.tlc_yellow_trips_2016]
limit 100

Hi Mel,

Chances are, your data is fine. That error message simply means that Data Studio didn't recognize the format of the incoming field from your data set. Probably the field in your data source was set to text and you received that message when you set it to Lat,Long, correct?

What happens when you use that data in your report?

Best,

Rick
