Im using a Google doc that has the date in the first column.  The dates are showing up in the chart, but the Global Date range selection is having no effect on the chart.  It is set to auto. Any ideas?

Courtney,

i did the test and it's ok for me, it's working about the format of the field "Date" in your sheet.

It needs to be in the format date "YYYYMMDD" and not "MDYYYY" (you have 4/1/2016 in the cell A2, and you need to have 2016/04/01)

Try to do it as you can see in my picture.

Everything that you did after is right in your settings in Data Studio (connection, properties of your component).

Hope it will help you Smiley Wink

I double checked and the Google Doc is formatted as date... And the data type is being selected as date. Not sure why this isn't working

hi Courtney,

Can you share a picture of your chart or of your Google doc  ?

Thanks Patrick! Here is a link:

It shows the spreadsheet, the connection/type settings, Data source settings for the chart... and the chart itself (its the blank one under the one working from GA).  Any help is appreciated.

That still isn't working for me.  I changed the sheet to your format:

https://ibb.co/iEsbO5

It is populating the dates in the sheet when date range dimension isn't added:

When I add the date range dimension, it isn't populating the dates selected:

This is driving me crazy lol

Nevermind!  I got it working finally.  I just put in 2016 instead of 2017 in my test. Thanks!
