Hi, I'll ask the obvious question: is your file encoded for UTF-8?

That's the thing: you can never be sure what encoding a file is really using

The best way to make sure is to open the file in the editor that created it (Excel, your text editor) and check UTf-8 as encoding option during the "Save As..." dialog.

I'm having the same trouble even though my .xlsx and .csv files are already in UTF-8.

I've followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVFW-dcCseU, but the UTF-8 upload error is still appearing.

Also, i can't upload it to a GoogleDrive sheet because it has more then 500000 lines.  =/

Same for me. I tried to create a datasource by uploading .xlsx and .xls files as due to security reasons I cannot connect with drive files directly. So I exported them to excel and saved them in UTF-8 format (--> Save as / Tools). Also tried to use different browsers, as I read this might fix it (Chrome, Firefox). Unfortunately without any result.

Anyone able to assist?

Hi Boris!

Yes, i solve that problem! But not with Excel...

I used Sublime Text Editor and, from there, saved as UTF-8.

I hope you find this useful.
