Can see the tables, but then I get this error once I hit connect:

"The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request."

Any suggestions?

Highly possible your table contains unsupported(is it the word?) data type, for example, if your table has a json column, the connector fails

I am also getting this same error. Is it because of "Unsupported data types"?

But the documentation mentions: "When Data Studio encounters a column of a non-supported type, it will not create a field for that column."

Other fields should still be available, right? What gives?

I managed to solve a similar issue I had while tried to connect my MySQL database.

In my case I had a few fields that included special characters and spaces (just to make it easier to customize the fields later in datastudio).

Once I removed them the sync worked properly.
