Categorisation/Labelling for Data Studio

Hi everyone,

With the absence of AdWords Labels in Google Data Studio (for the timebeing), is there a way to categorise or add labels to campaign names so we can filter them?

I've created a table that shows AdWords performance by campaign.

I would like to create a filter control that only shows campaigns which are under a certain category/label, ideally defined by an uploaded table that can VLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH for the right category/label

e.g.

Campaign | Category

Campaign A | Lightbulbs

Campaign B | Hammers

Campaign C | Screwdrivers

Campaign D | Lightbulbs

Table filter for 'Lightbulbs' shows Campaign A and D.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

I have a similar issue. Would also like to know of a way of making customized categories/labels.

There may be a Data Studio way I'm not familiar with, so maybe someone else can chime in.

If there isn't, a workaround would be to pull the data into Google Sheets (try the Google Analytics plug-in or Supermetrics), append the categorization through formulas, and then use that Sheet as your datasource. You can set up the data so that it automatically pulls on a regular schedule so you don't have to manually do it.
