Can't add my own dimension to chart

Good day!

I have a dimension "date" imported form Google Sheet which works just fine.

Now I'm trying to make my own one - a number of day in the year.

In editing data source I make a new filed which has formula DAY(date) and it's type is set to Day(DD).
The field is highlighted with green and everything seems to be OK, but item "day" does not appear at Date Range Dimension at Time Series, Bar Chart or Area Chart.

It appears only at Bar Chart at Dimension, but that's not what I need, because I need to build a Time series, where axis X is day number in the year. (by the truth I need to get a week number, but i have to begin with getting day number)

Is there any solution to this problem?

Thank you!

Currently, the Data Studio timeseries chart can only handle the following dat aformats:
YYYYYMMDDHH (hour granularity)
YYYYMMDD (day granularity)
YYYYMM (month granularity)
YYYY (year granularity)

Soon we are adding week- and quarter granularities.

It appears that what you are trying to do is get to get to week granularity. If that is the case, please stay tuned.
