Can I mix common data and confidential data in the same report?

Question:

I want to build a report that has some non-sensitive data and some data that only certain people should see. How do I make sure that only authorized people can view that data?

Answer:

Use the Viewer's Credentials option in the confidential data source. This will make sure that whoever views a report using that data source will have access to the underlying data set. To set this, edit the data source and click USING OWNER'S CREDENTIALS. A dialog will pop up that lets you change this Viewer's Credentials. Now, if someone without proper credentials views a chart based on this data source, they will see an authorization error instead of the data.
