Announcing the IMAGE function, heat maps and bars in pivot tables, and more
Dear Data Studio fans,
If you've ever wanted to display images in your tables, you now can with the new IMAGE() function. This function takes URLs provided by your data (either directly, or by constructing them with calculated fields) to create a new field type: the Image field. These fields display images in Data Studio tables. For example, you can use Image fields to display your product catalog, or thumbnails from your YouTube channel.
Also new this week:
- You can now use custom queries in all our database connectors.
- The data control now supports Attribution 360 (TV Attribution) and DFP (DoubleClick for Publishers) data sets.
- Pivot tables can now display metrics as bars and heatmaps.
As always, thanks for your interest in Data Studio.
