Aggregation landing page

Hi,

I'm trying to create a table that shows the landing sessions for a selection of pages  however, a few of the URL are duplicates with the additional ?rmsrc=1 (adwords tag) attached to the end of the URL.

Is there a way that I can combine the metrics together for the same URL?

E.g. I want to find the combine landing sessions for www.example.co.uk/ and for www.example.co.uk/?rmsrc=1

I suppose there is no way than exporting your data into sheet and then groping your pages and recalculating metrics. Otherwise you'll have to filter your reports page by page with "starting with" report filter.

For further data collection you can use separate view with search and replace filter (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1034834?hl=en) to strip trailing parameters from your page URL () or use custom content grouping (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2853546?hl=en&ref_topic=1727167 ) but these two approaches are not retroactive. The Content Groups and Views that you create are valid only from the creation date forward.

Hi @Melisha T

Its a bit tricky but,

In DS, you can use scorecards. You can create a common filter for all of them.(landing page contains
'xyz') . For Eg:

Or
In GA, you can try creating custom reports with landing page as primary dimension and metrics (you need).
You can use custom report filter to filter pages or use table filter (which I used in google demo account image below)

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Ritwik

Hey Ritwick,

The solution provided above works for one landing page. But what if I want to show aggregate metrics for landing pages with sub pages on the dashboard? Applying multiple filters with "OR" provides me all individual data for all subpages while I want to show it one row as aggregate. URL for reference. This is for AdWords and need to replicated for Organic data.

Hi Melisha,

I think regex_replace function should work for you. Create a new field and the formula that should work for you is below:

REGEXP_REPLACE(source,'.*example.co.uk.*','example.co.uk')

Please try this and let us know.

Thanks,
