Hello

I would like to add at the following dashboard:

https://datastudio.google.com/u/0/org//reporting/0B0ZHOVx9i6OrVGo2Rmp6VVlvZUU/page/B98E

- clear all to the genes / disease name filter.

- typing option in the filter.

is there a was to do so? With / without code. Any option is valid.

Many thanks,

Eila

currently no, you can not type in a filter.

I notice something, your dashboard is really slow, what source are you using ?

Right. It is too slow. I am using BigQuery
Any ideas how to improve performance?

Thanks,
Eila

I added count metric to the table (might be overloading it as well).

the reason for doing that was that i could nor draw a table without metric

any suggestion for improvement is highly appreciated

thanks1

I think that the reason for the delay is number of genes / diseases that are presented at the filter control. I changed it to 50 and it was working fast. however, I am unable to filter by the remaining~ 6000 genes / diseases (see at the table pagination the exact number). Any suggestion on how to have the full list available for the filter and improve the performance.

Many thanks,

Eila

but then I am not able to filter by multiple filters for the same dimension

Sorry, I am not sure how to fine tune the performance of Datastudio, but in your case, as your reports are public, did you thought about using PowerBI free tier, i Know it is a more mature product.

Yes. I am considering it and downloaded it already. However, I am not sure if there is a straight forward way to use bigQuery with it. I show Azure on the cloud menu. Do you have an experience with this kind of connection?

Many thanks,
Eila

it is planned but don't hold your breath as microsoft is not really keen to support a competitor.

but i hope someone from google can have a look at your reports and suggest improvements, i presume it is a perfect showcase on how BigQuery/Datastudio can democratize consumption of public data.
