How can i get an SABs to rank in the local pack for local searches?

Hi All,

Is there any advice on how to construct and GMB account to represent an SAB for local search?

Considering that my client offers a breakdown service in the whole of the UK and has a single physical office address based in London, how should we approach GMB and appearing and competing in the local search pack and maps?

I have reviewed Googles own advice here!topic/map-maker/0-0wplytssg  but still there are articles that i have read that suggest that selecting a service area as the whole of the UK will not necessarily help you rank in the local pack or in maps. I have also read that it is not advised to set up multiple service areas for urban areas.

Whats the guidance here Google? Surely a national SAB should be able to compete with a local SAB in local results?

Google doesn't like SABs covering big areas such as an entire country.

Your client should just create a brand page instead.
