i have established a google express account, and a regular account later, and i don't know what happened but i ended up having my ads deactivated, yet still being billed by google adwords...

i have reached out, and have been reaching out to the support team since january of this year, and asking them to stop my running ads, they would tell me ok, we stoped them, only to be billed again the following month.

the total amount i was billed is over 500 USD Smiley Sad

in all fairness i think this is not right, and i want my money back.

please help?

Francis.

Hi Francis,

If you do not want to cancel your AdWords account, then log in and pause all of your ads. Again, you are in complete control of your AdWords account. Support does not manage accounts with regards to starting and stopping ads.

  • Visit AdWords.
  • Click on All Campaigns and use the drop down menu next to each campaign name to and click pause. This will pause everything in those campaigns, including ads.
  •  Or click on Ads and do the same thing (use the drop down menu next to each campaign name to and click pause), which will pause all of those ads.

You can also contact AdWords Express/AdWords Support and they can access your account with you and walk you through it, if you prefer. However, you should understand your account and how to control basic functions such as starting and stopping ads. Call 1-866-246-6453 Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm (EST).

I would not expect a refund if the ads were running and performing (gathering clicks).

Kind Regards,

James

Hi Francis,

You should log into your account and cancel it. As long as the account is active, performance could be happening and you will be billed for it. It is the responsibility of each account owner to manage their account, so I would not leave it to chance that support has done this for you. Since no one here has access to accounts or can help with billing issues, you will need to get involved with your account and make sure it gets done.

Please use this information about Canceling your AdWords Account. And use this information about Canceling your AdWords Express account.

All the Best,

James

but i don't want to cancel my account, i need my account for work.

I have sent authorization more than once to have my ads stopped and i was told every time that the ad was actually stopped.

Is there someone to talk to about such issue, or is there something i can do about it?
