What is the proper Credit Card Number Format?

I put in my credit card number and it keeps telling me its an "invalid Format".

It is 16 numbers, I've tried it with no spaces, spaces, and dashes, and it still says "Invalid Format".

Please help,

Hi Webmaster64, I'm guessing - and that's all it is - that in this case "Invalid Format" actually refers to the identifying numbers themselves.  As you may know, you can identify the card issuer from certain numbers within those 16; if they don't match any known card issuer, that's probably why you're getting "Invalid Format".

I'd check the card number very carefully.  Have you used this card for anything else?  Ever made any successful purchase with it?

Hello,

I'm facing this same problem but I checked everything and all numbers are OK. I used this card before to book hotels.
