Selling business - transferring accounts?

I'm selling my online website/domain and business and want to transfer all associated Google accounts to the new owners.  They obviously want to retain historical data, use successful ads, etc. and I want to assure the accounts (and bills) are no longer in my name, or on our business credit card. Should the new owners establish their own account and we transfer campaigns, ads, etc (but lose historical data?) or is it just as simple as changing the account owner name, billing information, etc on the existing account?

Thank you!

The account is linked (for good) to the email used to open it.
So I would suggest that the new owner will open a new account, then grant them administrative access. Once accepted, unlink your email. (of course, after verifying that billing details changed.)
