You can check the details of credit/debit in your AdWords account through the billing tab.
Go to settings cog(top right) > Billing & payments > Transactions.

Did you re-activate an old account? If so, was there an outstanding balance to be cleared?
If it is a newly created account, it is most likely a test charge on your card to check if it is valid. Such charges will be credited back to your card automatically.
