My CPCs are higher than my manual max CPC settings

My campaign is set for manual bidding. I don't have ECPC set up.

I see 3 separate ad groups with CPCs higher than max CPC. In one case, the CPC was $7 higher than my max.

I checked all individual keywords and they are all set at ad group level max CPCs. My mobile bidding is set at 10% lower than desktop.

Any thoughts on why my CPCs were so high? Does Google perhaps do an audit at the end of the day and make adjustments? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you using incremental bidding with your campaign? Please check under Settings > Advanced Settings > Schedule >Ad scheduling.

just a thought,
