MY ADWORDS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED & GOOGLE DIDN'T TOLD ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY ACCOUNT!!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS?

 

I set up a adwords google about 2.5 weeks ago and it is my first time setting up such an account. I have no prior experience in internet marketing nor website creation.The website and adwords was set up during my internet marketing class. 

 

There was nothing wrong for about 1.5 weeks. We were informed that Google has changed its policy in late Sept that ony allows NEW accounts set up within 14 days to apply promotional code. I applied the code given to me by my school on 24 Oct and on 27 Oct, got an email from Google that my account has been suspended pending their investigation. I was very worried as I am already running ads online for my client. I emailed Google to get an appeal (because I have read the terms and conditions as advised by the email and I do not see anything wrong with my sites or accounts. And emailing google for an appeal is a next step advised by google) and to ask them what has gone wrong so that I can work with them to resolve the issue. However, ALL i got were automated replies. 

 

Google finally got back to me today and told me plainly that my accounts has been suspended and so will all my future accounts! It is also stated that no further information can be provided on this matter. HELLO GOOGLE!! HOW CAN I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW CAN I WORK WITH YOU TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE IF YOU DO NOT TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG??? ALL YOU TELL ME TO DO IN ALL YOUR EMAILS IS TO GO AND READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS! 

 

Can someone please respond to me? I opened my adwords account today and got this alert that my billing information cannot be verified and then found on the forum that so many people have issues with promotional code. 

 

1) My promotional code is completely legitimate as it has been provided by my school and they have been giving it out for so many years. 

2) I do not see how I violated any T&C

3) I do not think my website and ads are violating any Google rules as they have been running fine until I applied the promotional code. 

 

This is the last email that I have received from Google. Can someone from Google please help me?

The changes to the promotional coupons were recent but the changes had very little to do with when you could apply them; for the most part, they've always been for new accounts and needed to be applied within 14 days (however each promotion is different and the T & C's on each coupon are what matters the most).  The most recent changes were to the structure of how the coupons work.  Now they are set up so you spend a little bit before getting credit; spend $25 get $75 for instance.

The unfortunate reality of the situation is that you may not have entered the code in a manner that corresponds with the terms and conditions of the coupon itself and that could indeed have caused your violation of AdWords Terms and Conditions.

 

Unfortunately, there is not much any of us here can do for you.  We do not have access to individual accounts nor do we have any influence on suspensions.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your reply Smiley Happy I am using the spent $25 to redeem $75 promo code that you mentioned.
I have entered it code exactly the way as you stated above. Hence, this shouldn't be what caused my account to run foul of google rules.

Having said that, it means I still have no idea why my account is suspended and google is SERIOUSLY NOT HELPING.
