Billing Method

Hi,

 

Well, I am not new to Adwords but for my account, YES, I have an issue popped up in front of me that, I have linked my Debit Card with my NEW Adwords account but the twist is, the policy of my Bank is when ever I want to make an online transaction I have to call my bank's helpline and i have to ask them to open my card's online shopping window for a time limit, and on the top of it they can only open the window for maximum 2 hours.

 

So the issue is when the time limit completes i got my card Declined in Adwords and as i have made a new Adwords account so it goes in a periodic review.

 

So, can any specialist tell me that will that be a problem that my card goes declined on & off, I am helpless because its my bank's policy. Smiley Sad

Hi @Imran Rizvi,

 

That is a tough situation as Google needs to run payments when they need to, not a 2 hour window. 

 

If you are able, you can make a manual payment more often and when it declines your card (with automated payments) and pauses your account, go back to the billing tab, use the Fix your payment feature, open your card with your provider, make the manual payment and resume until next time and repeat these steps. 

 

1) Log in to Adwords.

2) Click on gear icon in upper right corner.

3) Click Billing.

 

Please note that once a payment method has failed, it has to be validated (or fixed) to be used and for your AdWords account to be active again. Your AdWords account will be active with a failed payment method, even for manual pay.

 

To Fix your payment method after a failed payment, you need to follow the steps above to visit the billing section of your AdWords account. Next, you need to click on the Billing Settings in the left hand menu.  You will see all of your submitted payment methods and above the failed one will be a red bar with the words Fix It. Click on those words and follow prompts to validate the payment method. You will need to do this every time your payment method is declined. Google payments often trigger fraud protection on credit cards until the bank or institution becomes familiar with you doing business with Google.

Thanks for your reply James.

I am using Manual Payments option, I wanted to know that will Adwords suspend my account due to this reason or not?

I already made a payment of PKR 5000.

You are very welcome. 

 

They should not. I have some cards that fail monthly due to security (my card is highly-protected) and I have to use the Fix method. And I have known many, many others that have the same issue monthly. I just stay on it and fix the card right away. Credit Cards today have lots of fraud protection and some simply do not like recurring payments to Google (and many others) so this is not all that uncommon.
