Hello Ana,

Google shows Ads to the person based on the physical location or location of interest and serve relevant ads based on a person’s past searches or physical location.

In your case the Ads are shown in Mexico is also for the same reason above mentioned. if you really do not want to drive traffic from Mexico, I suggest you to exclude mexico in the location targeting settings of the campaign.

Hi Ana,


Ads may show outside the targeted location for a few reasons. One of them is location specific searches. For example, if you're advertising a web development company and targeting US, your ad could appear to a customer located in Mexico, who searches for "web developers US".


In case you'd like to restrict your ad's visibility strictly within US, you can use the advanced location targeting options to serve your ads to customers likely to be physically located within US. Screen grab below. Remember: If you're using this option, you'll have to ensure location specific terms (if any) in your keywords are also be within your target location.
