too much Remarketing attribution...

Hello,

I have a new client who contends that the fact that his conversions historically owe mostly to remarketing, that he often can't track conversions owing to the first click and keyword.

Is there some tracking code I can append to remarketing destination urls that could attribute conversions to either the first "search" click, or perhaps both.

Hi PPCBUILDERS,

Have you tried Google Tag Manager ?
If there is some tool to use so that you can expand the abilities of your Tracking Code Google Tag Manager can expand your options upon tracking.
You are asking though something that has to be implemented via Goals in Analytics and monitored through multichannel funnels and the visitors flow again in Google Analytics.

Hello Doug.

You have the Search Funnels in the AdWords interface that show you how a visitor interacted with your ads before converting, and also the Multi Channel Funnels in Google Analytics where you can see interactions even beyond the paid search channel.

AdWords Search funnels explained: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722023?hl=en
Google Analytics Multi-Channel-Funnels: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1191180?hl=en

More recently, Google Analytics made the Attribution Tool available in the free Analytics edition, and now you can compare first click and last click attribution models: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1662518?hl=en

Hope it helps.
