Hello All,

I just created an ad for my website, www.drawingnewyork.com which is registered as my business site.

I was also able to add a link address for my ad and I used www.meetup.com/drawingnewyork

When I preview the ad it says www.meetup.com in the link area.

Does that mean it is sending people just to meetup.com and not meetup.com/drawingnewyork or is it just a shorter preview of the link for the online ad?

Thank you,

Simon

Hi Simon,

You can cross check by clicking edit ad, see the final url.

Users will only land on the url mentioned in the final url field.

Though, you can change the preview by editing the display url field in standard text ads and editing path fields in ETA.

If you are using the standard text ads, Google may show the domain of your website in the headline irrespective of the display url path.

For your reference: Showing the display URL domain in the headline

Hi @Simon L,

The Display URL is generally shorter than the Destination URL to the landing page of the ad. Rest assured, whatever the destination URL of your ad is using is where your traffic is going.

Kind Regards,

James
