remarketing audience "too small to target"

Have just set up my first remarekting campaign. I set it up a few weeks ago and put the tag code up on a page that gets about 15K page views per month. The membership lenght was set to 30 days.  The campaign did not run immediately as I was past due on payment and no image ads had been uploaded. Account is now in good standing and image ads are 'under review'.

It's telling me that there are only 20 cookies in the audience and is too small to target. Any suggestions?

Hi Ivez,

If the Audience code is still on that same page and the page still gets 15k page views a month, there should be more than 20 members.  The campaign (running or not) has no effect on the audience lists building members.

You will need to get to 100 members before you can target and serve ads to the audience in a campaign.

I'm unaware of your strategies but you could extend the membership length of the cookies to allow more users to end up on the list.

I would double check your audience code installation.  Did the list ever reach the higher numbers you are referencing?

Hi lvez,

That does sound a litle fishy! Your page that gets 15K page views per month, does that landing page also get organic traffic, or only traffic from AdWords?

Are you sure you have placed the code correctly? I had similar experience setting up my first list. It took longer than I thought it would to accumulate. The list now has numbers that closely correspond with the number of visits.

I'm sorry, I don't have any better advice than this for you!

Best of Luck

Pete

Thanks for the replies.

The remarketing code is on our pricing page which gets a lot of traffic.  If the code was broken, wouldn't the "number of users"  be zero and not 20?

Hi Ivez,

I only have concerns because you mention 15K month on this page where the code is installed.  Did you check your audience lists prior to recently?  Did you ever see more than 20 members.

I don't know that it's 'broken' but if you're getting 15K visitors, it would seem to me that something is wrong.  Sometimes it is where the code is installed.

EDIT:  "I was past due on payment" - This could be the culprit...If you're just recently in good standing, you may start to see the numbers increasing over the next few days.

You guys were right. There was a star missing from the code that I pasted into the website.

Thanks
