"Review" sites

I am getting more calls from people who want me to buy a listing on their new "directory" site, but they ask me to "encourage" my customers to go to their site to create reviews. It seems that some of these directory sites get very good search results placement in Google for our key words. I can't afford to advertise on all these sites; does Google approve of this practice?

Hello @Jean R;

The Google advertising platform is different from those "directories".

As for  reviews; Google on its AdWords platform allows you to add a seller rating extension which is based on customer reviews  done by a (third party) review agency. There is a closed list of review agencies approved by Google. You can sign up with one of them.

Thank you Moshe.TLV.. I realize it is different. I would just think it would be cutting into Google revenue.
