Hey Suresh, how are things?

When running campaigns for e-commerce site, a few things comes in mind.

Keyword Match Types

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497836?hl=en

The keyword match types helps you gain more control over how your keyword are triggered by the user query. Avoid Broad match type at the beginning, since they will consume a lot of you budget, bring a lot of clicks but usually it doesn't reflect good on conversions. Prefer using mostly Broad Match Modifier, Phrase and Exact match types

Long-tail keywords

The user tends to "speak" with you when they search for something online. People looking for the keyword "car" usually don't know what they want, that model and brand, so by searching for "car", they are probably looking for some options. This is a very generic keyword.

For e-commerce websites you should prefer using the called long-tail keywords. They are more specific keywords usually for those users that already know what they want, like "blue honda civic 2015". This user already know the brand, the model, the color of the product he desire. Those keywords have low volume of search, but they have such more quality than generic ones.

Negative Keywords

Negative keywords, as the name estates, are keywords that you select for each you DO NOT want your ad to appear. So getting the car example, you probably wouldn't want to show your ads for people looking for "car accidents", so in this case you include "accidents" as a negative keywords.

Negative keywords are so or even more important than your "positive" ones. Having a good list of negative keywords and optimizing it constantly, is what makes a good advertisers INVEST their money, and not SPEND IT.

Hope these tips helps.

Cheers,
