Why one of my keyword status shows rarely shown due to low quality score? and  now suddenly this keyword quality score reduced from 7 to 1. What may be the reasons can anyone please clarify me about this issue?

Thanks & Regards,

Nandini

QS is predominately a factor of CTR. If CTR is low the QS will be low.

Hi Nandini,

Few days back, one of the bug hit the AdWords Quality Score system and all of a sudden, advertisers found that their keywords' QS went down. Google clarified later that it was a bug (https://plus.google.com/+GoogleAds/posts/UZMcjQ84WC7) and got fixed later on with announcement coming on March 29: https://plus.google.com/+GoogleAds/posts

In other case, reason could simply be that initially the Quality Score assigned to the keyword was based on historical performance of how other advertisers used it in the past and once your keyword accrued data, it went down due to one reason or another like Low CTR, low ad relevance etc...

Try improving the CTR and assign competitive bid to make sure you optimize it properly. Read more around the Quality Score recipe by Googler Tanmay here: https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/Basics-for-New-Advertisers/Ingredients-of-the-Quality-Score-...

f the quality score ( historical CTR ) for the keyword was 7 before you were using it for the campaign and later on decreased to 1 it was because your CTR for the keyword was reduced as it didnt perform well thereby the relevancy according to your campaign objectives the factors of which depend on various issues like ad design quality , ad copy with keywords ,landing page . Try to optimise these factors to increase the quality score
