domain keyword SEO ranking

Hi, i would like to get some seo tips regarding to SEO landing pages my domain name is for example www.myhotel.com and i have a more specific domain for the area of my hotel www.hotelsydney.com so my question is if its ok to create a landing page for the keyword url and redirect it to the main url will that help with seo?

Basic answer is NO.

When you add a Redirect, you are pushing the authority of the original website to another website. If the original website ranks for XYZ it is based on the parameters and content and signals of that website, Once redirected, the NEW website's parameters and signals come into play, and more then likely what made the first site rank, will not be the same as the new site. thereby losing the original rankings.

In your scenario, DON'T Redirect, just Link Off too.. If you have a website that ranks, it ranks for reason, if you want to funnel that traffic, do so with "Calls to Actions, Navigation Links etc to the "Other Domain".

But in the grand scheme of things if a visitor comes to you site, it make sense to Convert them there, instead of pushing them elsewhere.
