Hi,

Please, could you confirm if my understanding is right regarding cpc max targeting (screenshot:http://www.screencast.com/t/7lT3puzRk) ..

The right column is for campaign using both search and display altogether (as i understand the buble message) , is that right ? So, don't need to mention it according my campaign settings (screen..)

Tks for clarifying..! Man Frustrated

Hi,

Every campaigns has two column for max cpc:

Default max cpc: this is a compulsory column where you have to assign a numerical values to run the campaigns either on search or display network.

Display network max cpc:- Here you put the max cpc for display network only. You can use Auto in the column to keep the same max cpc as you use in default max cpc column.

Or you can increase or decrease the bids for display network by putting the bid amount in this column.

Thus in simple way you can understand

Default Bid:- For search network
Display network:- For display network bid

I suppose you are looking at the Ad Groups Tab so 0.55 will be the Display Network Bid for the first Ad Group (first row) and the 0.75 will be the Display Network Bid for the second Ad Group.

Those bids will be used unless you set "Enable Custom Bids" for a targeting method, like placements.

Hello,

The link provided cannot be opened please link again using the "green tree" icon from the Full editor or an external free service like this one http://prntscr.com/

I would advise setting up 2 different campaigns , one search only and one Display network ( if you really need the display network too). If you aim to obtain conversions , I would recommend starting with the Search only campaign, and testing the Display Campaign later.

In the Display Campaign try the Gmail placement with keywords.

Yes, it is set on "auto" in a Display Network Only campaign, because the Ad Group uses the bid from the first column. However when an Ad group includes for example a text ad for both Search and Display, you can set a different ad group bid for Display using the second column.

The interesting thing is that I was able to set a value even if it was "auto" by default so now I have 2 MaxCPC values, one for the "Default MaxCPC" and one for the "Display Network MaxCPC", which one will the system use ? It will use the "Display Network MaxCPC" ( I tested it and looked at the Placements tab to see what bid is inherited)

Hi Rakesh and Adrian,

To be sure, so as to the screenshot, the system will use 0,55 or 0, 75 as my cpc max bid . That's right ?

Regards..
