cannot see the keyword planner tool

I am not prepared to start a new campaign until I can do some basic keyword research. I have tried to look in both Adwords and Adwords express but all I can see is that "you don't need it". What on earth is this all about? Either the tool is available or it isn't.

This is the new workflow. You'll have to go through the whole process of setting a campaign, including a payment method, pause it, and then go back and do keywords research.

Wow, that's a bit inconvenient. Guess you have to work a bit harder these days to do some basic research. But thanks for taking the time to tell me.

Hi Jan B,

You are in the right direction. keyword research is preliminary requirement which you should do before creating campaign. You can access Keyword planner on Google Adwords.

Click on Tool tab ->Click on Keyword Planner. Put there your basic keywords. You will get there all possible keywords with suggest bid and search volumes.

I don't recommend you Adwords Express. It is good for advertisers who don't have time to manage campaign.

Hope this will help you out.

Thanks,
Virendra Kumar

for some basic keyword or search-term related analysis,
apart from any account setup, google-trends is available --
