Do you have to select only one "device type" for each ad?

If you want the same ad to appear on all device types, what do you do.

Hi Terry,

Welcome to AdWords Community!

Probably, you're referring to the device preference at the ad level. You can use that option to choose which one is a mobile preferred ad among many within an ad group.

By default, your ads would show on all devices. However, you have an option to increase or decrease bids on mobile devices, based on your requirement. You can navigate to the campaign>settings>devices to this adjustment. More about mobile bid adjustment here.

Hope that helps,

Sumanth

Hi Terry,

As Sumanth explained here, when you start running a campaign, by default all of your ads are targeted to all devices. This is true, if you haven't manually selected just Desktop or Mobiles.

Do give the article a read and let us know if you need any further help on it.

Hope this Helps!

Cheers!
