Hi All,

I would like to create an entire Display campaign targeting YouTube.

I don t understand which kind of ad media I should use. It looks to me like image ads are not the right ones.

Can you please help?

Thanks!

You cannot create new display ads from scratch in Editor. You create them in the web interface, then perform Get Recent Changes to get them into Editor. Once there, you can copy/paste them around, and edit a limited set of fields (ad name, display URL, destination URL, status).

Hey Flroriana,

You run all types of ads across youtube:

  • Display Ads
  • In-Video Ads
  • TrueView In-Stream Ads
  • Standard In-Stream Ads

See YouTube Advertising Formats for more info.

Let me know if you need help actually setting up the campaigns.

Thanks,

BI

Hey There,

Are you trying to promote a video or your website? There are two different approaches in order to accomplish each. It sounds like you are trying to place image ads on youtube.com and send visitors to your site, rather than promoting a video on youtube.

To add images to youtube and send visitors to your website, you will want to setup a Display Network Campaign and target 'Only Placements I Choose', which you will then add youtube.com to your list of placements.

Below are the accepted image dimensions across youtube:

200x200, 300x250, 320x50, 450x50, 468x60, 480x70, 728x90

See below on how to add image ads within AdWords Editor:

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
